Later, two issues were identified: originally, the liquid fed into the flash tank was boiling at atmospheric pressure; subsequently, as the temperature dropped significantly, the pressure of the steam supplied also decreased, resulting in a lower temperature of the liquid at atmospheric pressure; During that period, the solution concentration in the flash tank was low, resulting in a decrease in density. With the same vacuum level in the flash tank, normal evaporation does not occur; due to the low density, the height of the atmospheric leg increases as well. These two factors caused the flash tank to become filled with liquid, but things have now returned to normal.
