High-pressure oxygen is very dangerous, and accidents can happen even if you turn it on and off quickly.
The picture is not clear. Personally, I think the valve must be made of stainless steel. If the flow rate is too fast suddenly, static sparks may occur and cause a deflagration accident.
I have seen this done with fuel gas, but not with oxygen. I don’t know if it is necessary.
Article 5.5.9 of GB 50316-2000 (2008 edition) shall not use quick-opening or quick-closing valves for oxygen pipelines. The provisions are under interpretation: Valves whose handles are rotated 90° to open or close, or valves whose switching speed is equivalent or faster, are quick-opening and quick-closing valves. Personally, I think the original intention of this article is to ensure the intrinsic safety of the system. In actual selection, it is difficult to guarantee that 100% quick-opening and quick-closing valves will not be used. In this case, other measures need to be taken to ensure system safety.
