What is the difference between magnetic pump and centrifugal pump? Is a magnetic pump necessary for liquid chlorine? If a magnetic pump is used, can the suction pipe be connected to the top of the tank? Which master can answer this?

Magnetic pump mainly solves the sealing problem
Magnetic pumps and shielded pumps both belong to the category of centrifugal pumps. Compared to ordinary centrifugal pumps, magnetic pumps and shielded pumps have better sealing properties and virtually no leakage. However, they are more expensive. When using a magnetic pump, the medium should not contain magnetic particles such as iron filings; if such particles are present, a magnetic filter must be installed to prevent them from adhering to the rotor and affecting the pump’s performance.
Compared to magnetic pumps, conventional centrifugal pumps use bearings for transmission, and mechanical seals are employed at those bearings, which increases the likelihood of leakage. The drive of a magnetic pump relies on magnetic coupling, with a sealed isolation layer in between, which essentially eliminates the possibility of leakage. The downside is that the pumping capacity of a magnetic pump may be lower than that of a pump with bearings, and the ceramic sleeve can get damaged if it fails to rotate. When low power is used and the proper operating methods are followed, magnetic pumps should be employed for handling hazardous media
Pre-cooling refers to cooling down in order to prevent liquid chlorine from vaporizing, right? In that case, the pump needs to be made of a material resistant to low temperatures. What material would be suitable? 16MnD?
