Do Class A and B flammable liquid storage tanks necessarily require nitrogen blanketing? May I ask which standard and which clause it comes from?
As far as I remember, there are no standard requirements specifying that this must be done; the reason for using nitrogen sealing at present is mainly to reduce oil and gas vaporization as well as for environmental protection reasons. The issue of VOCs is currently a major concern
Does everything have to be regulated? Do we have to wait for an explosion just because nitrogen sealing isn’t used?

Flammable liquids of Class A and B have a low flash point (below 28 degrees), and there is a risk of explosion when air enters the top of the storage tank; therefore, nitrogen purging is generally used for such tanks. However, there are exceptions; SH/T 3007-2014 provides relevant explanations in this regard. For example, in the case of styrene storage tanks, polymerization inhibitors need to be used in an oxygen-containing environment to function effectively, and they are not suitable for nitrogen sealing; instead, oxygen-poor air is generally used for sealing.
