Where is the gas or liquid released by the safety valve or vent valve in the event of a fire in a flammable liquid storage tank discharged?

Safety valves are generally connected to the flare system, while the ventilation capacity of breather valves takes into account the air flow caused by the inflow and outflow of liquids, as well as the air flow resulting from temperature changes. In cases where there is no flare system, other emission control measures are available; refer to section 5.5.4 of GB50160
Generally, a flare is connected only when the safety valve of a liquefied hydrocarbon sphere tank releases pressure; atmospheric floating roof storage tanks are equipped only with breather valves, and at most a nitrogen sealing system is added, with discharge to the atmosphere being the option
