Can the particulate matter levels in the flue gas exceed the limits after the post-alkaline washing in the sulfur unit? Especially during start-up and shutdown periods
I have a question: at least please provide an overview of the processing capacity of the tower and the composition of the flue gas. Experienced users might be able to check whether it’s suitable and even help with the calculations. You ask questions like that; I say it won’t exceed the limit, do you think that makes any sense?
The post-alkaline washing step deals with whether particulate matter is present in the exhaust gases after combustion; the capacity of this process is 60,000 tons per year. During start-up and shutdown periods, sulfur dioxide levels increase significantly – could some of the particulate matter be sulfates?
What are the specifications for mist eliminators?
Do you mean sulfur particles by those particulates?
