The pressure for adding chemicals to the drum is low, but some chemicals cannot be added, such as phosphates, because of the desuperheating water; if they are added, scaling will occur in the steam pipelines； When chemicals are added to the water supply pipeline, the high pressure often causes problems with the chemical dosing pumps, resulting in failure to deliver the chemicals or leaks.
