For example, how is a backup unit started in the event of an expander trip or switch? How are the steps?
The standby expander is ready; reduce the speed and load of the operating expander, then start the standby unit. Make sure there is no significant change in flow rate. While increasing the load on the standby unit, reduce the load on the operating unit. Once the speed of the operating unit drops to 3,000, close the emergency shut-off valve and increase the load on the standby unit to normal levels
