The Zhenxiong 100-billion-level phosphorus chemical project officially started construction in June. This project is a bit fierce. The phosphorus-based new materials industry cluster project in Zhenxiong County, Zhaotong, Yunnan, officially started this month. The total planned land area is 28,064 acres. To put it bluntly, it is to build a complete phosphorus chemical industry chain - from mining to deep processing to solid waste recycling, one-stop.
Tell me some key figures: Phosphate rock resource reserves exceed 13 billion tons, accounting for 51% of the country's proven reserves. The first phase is expected to be completed and put into production in 2029. The output value will be 50 billion by the end of the "15th Five-Year Plan" and will exceed 100 billion by the end of the "16th Five-Year Plan".
To be honest, the reserves of 13 billion tons are really scary, equivalent to holding a golden rice bowl. However, the biggest fear of this kind of resource-based project is that it "relies on the mines" and cannot achieve added value.
It is positioned as a "phosphorus-based new material", not a simple phosphate fertilizer or yellow phosphorus, which shows that it still wants to go high-end. For those of us who are engaged in engineering design, the subsequent demand for design, construction, and equipment procurement of such a large project worth hundreds of billions will continue to be released for five or six years, and it deserves continued attention.
2. Hunan's 250 million industrial gas island project was announced. The industrial gas island project in Changdejin High-tech Zone will start in June. The total investment is 250 million. The first phase will start in June and will be put into operation in June next year. After completion, it will have a daily output of 435.6 tons of liquid oxygen, as well as industrial gas, medical oxygen, and high-purity gas filling workshops.
The industrial gas industry has been growing steadily in recent years. Especially with the development of industries such as fine chemicals, semiconductors, and new energy, the demand for special gases and high-purity gases is increasing.
This kind of project is not particularly big, but it is more stable. Gas island projects are generally provided to the park. As long as the park enterprises are producing, they will have stable cash flow. Friends who are engaged in engineering can pay attention to similar park supporting projects. Although the output value of a single project is not high, it is more successful in terms of quantity and stable payment.
3. The 600 million yuan energy storage power station in Suiyang, Guizhou has started construction and will be connected to the grid by the end of the year. Construction of this energy storage project, which started on June 5, is a 300MW/600MWh, grid-type independent energy storage power station with a total investment of 600 million yuan. It is planned to be connected to the grid for power generation by the end of the year.
Energy storage is really hot right now. But I want to pour cold water on this - energy storage projects look lively, but few are actually making money. Many projects now rely on policy subsidies, and the economics are still questionable.
However, from an engineering perspective, the design, construction, and equipment procurement of energy storage power stations are all real needs. In particular, the integrated design of core equipment such as BMS (battery management system) and PCS (energy storage converter) is a new business growth point for engineering companies.
