I would like to ask the experts: Carbon dioxide is a simple asphyxiant gas; does it fall under the category of toxic gases? When setting up the alarm, should it be configured based on the radius of the toxic gas? Are there any specific standards regarding the design of detection and alarm systems for pure asphyxiant gases? Is there any regulation that specifies that purely asphyxiating gases are considered toxic gases?

You should be clear about why your position requires the detection of this gas. For example, in my role involving cryogenic air separation units, the carbon dioxide concentration in the surrounding atmosphere may be high; in such cases, I can set up the detection at the inlet of the air compressor. If you are in a design firm and want to install it in the office, unless your office building is in that area.
