I have a question: are there any standard requirements specifying that an electronic automatic ignition device must be used for igniting gas heating furnaces?
For specific reference, Article 9.7.1 of SY 0031-2012 \"Safety Regulations for Heating Furnaces in the Petroleum Industry\" stipulates that: \"Outside the wellsite, heating furnaces in stations where electrical power is available shall be equipped with a flame-out protection control system that enables automatic ignition as well as automatic cut-off of power supply and fuel supply in the event of a flame-out.\" The explosion protection rating of automatic gas combustion devices should comply with the requirements of 50058”
\"Code for Tubular Heating Furnaces\" (SY/T0538—2004) \"10.5 The burners should preferably be of fully automatic type.\" The burner’s output power should have an automatic adjustment function, as well as the capability for automatic programmed ignition, flame detection, and shut-off protection. ”
Not quite sure; from a security perspective, it should be! But we’ve never used it here; we always light it on site! It doesn’t feel very safe!
It should all be automatic ignition these days; I haven’t seen any that use manual ignition
I’m sorry for the inconvenience; it’s a small workshop, and things aren’t very organized here. There’s nothing we can do about it – who would want to take the risk of lighting them anyway?
