What type of spectrophotometer does the poster want to have in their laboratory? We use the older models, domestic ultraviolet spectrophotometers. Since it is used infrequently for testing, it is still in good condition after over five years. If it is used frequently and you want it to last, it is advisable to purchase a product from a well-known brand; otherwise, repairs and such can represent a significant expense.
I want to purchase a device that can detect visible light, used for determining the levels of biuret and aldehydes. The 722g model from Leici that is available currently does not have the capability to generate curves; it can only measure absorbance. Do I have to create the curves myself?
