There is a chemical project that falls under the category of fine chemicals; since liquid ammonia is used in it, it qualifies as a Class B facility. It certainly isn’t a petrochemical project. 1. Is it necessary for the control room to comply with GB50779-2012? 2. The distance from the device to the control room is approximately 90 meters, and there is a firewall in the control room facing the Class B device. Is this approach feasible? 3. In accordance with the requirements of HG/T20508-2014, for chemical plants with explosion hazards, the control rooms and field control rooms shall be designed with explosion-resistant structures. It is necessary to have explosion-resistant walls on all four sides of the control room, or is it sufficient to have such explosion-resistant structures on the side facing the hazard?

Conduct an explosion impact analysis to determine whether the control room is within the range of the explosion’s effects; if it is, blast-resistant design must be implemented in accordance with relevant requirements; If it is not present, a firewall should be installed on the side facing fires or explosions, as long as the spacing requirements are met ; (I’ve experienced it personally; experts agree with this logic – since your 90-meter spacing surely meets the specifications, it then comes down to the range of the explosion’s impact.)
The explosion shock wave should be less than 9000 Pa. For Class B buildings, a distance of 10 units from other Class A and Class B buildings is generally sufficient, as specified by fire safety regulations.
