Is it the same meaning, or is there a difference? MVR stands for mechanical vapor compression, while heat pumps can use not only mechanical compression but also vapor compression; that’s TVR
It’s more or less the same idea; the concept of a heat pump is broader. The compressor, which is the core component of MVR, is essentially a \"heat pump\". When talking solely about heat pumps, there are not only MVRs and TVRs as mentioned earlier, but also low-temperature heat pumps (air conditioners fall into this category as well)；
I think steam compressors are not good – they are noisy and difficult to maintain; the steam condensate should be returned to the boiler to save energy. A steam compressor converts kinetic energy into heat energy and pressure.
