The basic copper chloride produced by our company is obtained by neutralizing both the waste acidic etching solutions and the waste alkaline etching solutions from the printed circuit board industry. Recently, due to problems with the waste acidic etching solutions (whose sources are diverse), we made several adjustments; we thought the issue lay with the acidic etching solutions, and as a result no crystals of basic copper chloride were formed during production – only a muddy, grass-green precipitate appeared. Experts, how can this problem be solved? Is that where the problem is? Thank you

The neutralization process produced only ordinary basic copper chloride, which is a muddy, grass-green precipitate; the crystalline basic copper chloride we need was not formed. We believe the problem might lie with the acidic etching solution – we just don’t know which component in it interfered with the neutralization reaction
The sources of waste liquid from acidic etching solutions are quite complex. The waste liquid from large factories is generally of better quality, while the waste etching solution from many small factories contains various substances as long as it is acidic; there are components whose identities we simply do not know, and it is very difficult to analyze these components
We need to first analyze the grass-green precipitate you mentioned to determine the resulting substance, and then analyze the original solution to identify any interfering substances
