How to remove the 3mm rubber sheet from the tank lining

The tank is lined with 3mm stainless steel plates; now I want to remove them and line it with PTFE. How should I remove the rubber plates?

For a 3mm thick lining that isn’t bonded to the outer shell, it might be possible to cut it into pieces using a handheld cutting saw (angle grinder) in order to remove it; for larger areas, arc cutting could be an option. This is provided for reference only.

Will doing this damage the performance of the device? Personally, I think it’s better to make a cut in the rubber surface first and then use a high-pressure water gun to remove it

With such material, it’s not clear whether heating it with fire or removing it using a sharp tool would work. It is best to clean it by grinding or sandblasting. For reference.
