I would like to ask the experts here for the formula used to calculate the viscosity of oils. For example, if I know the dynamic viscosity of an oil at 50°C, I want to know how to calculate its dynamic viscosity at 20°C or 100°C Oil products refer to fuel oil, diluted asphalt, etc. Thank you!
This thing should theoretically be data obtained from experiments; even if there are formulas, they are derived by fitting the experimental data. Check out the book \"Petroleum and Chemical Engineering Design Manual, Volume 1 – Basic Data in Petroleum and Chemical Engineering\" to see if there is any relevant information available.
In the standard methods for measuring the viscosity of petroleum products, I recall there being a large table from which relevant data can be obtained to calculate the viscosity at different temperatures; however, this requires knowledge of the viscosity-temperature characteristics of that particular oil. Please check with your laboratory to see if there is a compilation of standard analysis methods for petroleum products compiled by the former Petroleum and Chemical Science Research Institute; it may contain the information you need.
It is recommended to look up in the Aspen database; the estimation formulas differ to some extent from the experimental data
