What issues should be considered in the design of CIP processes? In cases where acid and alkali cleaning is used, should the cleaning tank be used for storing them all together, or should the acid, alkali, and water be stored separately? What is the relationship between the size of the storage tank and the volume of the container to be cleaned? Are the flow rate and pressure of acids and bases in the pipeline the same as those of tap water? What should be the concentration (pH) of acids and bases when cleaning at 80°C for 30 minutes? Most of the information I found indicates a value of 1% to 2%, with a pH level of around 3 to 5. Is it necessary to use pumps for the recovery of acids and bases, or can it be achieved through gravity-driven flow? I seek advice from all fellow sailors!
There are so many issues here. The cleaning solutions definitely need to be separated into acidic and alkaline ones; otherwise, a reaction will occur, and cleaning won’t be possible
Yes, right now we are considering whether to prepare the acid and base first before cleaning, or to install a mixer in the pipeline to dilute them with water for cleaning
Either of the two is acceptable; it is recommended to use a mixer as it occupies less space and requires lower investment
