During the production of titanium dioxide, flue gas containing sulfur dioxide is generated. This flue gas passes through our desulfurization tower, where the sulfur dioxide is converted into dilute sulfuric acid at a concentration of around 15%; this sulfuric acid is then returned to the previous processing stages for further use. We are carbon-based catalysts, with a reaction temperature of 50~180°C. In the flue gas, sulfur dioxide is first adsorbed on the surface of the activated carbon; subsequently, under the action of a catalyst, it is catalytically oxidized into sulfuric acid. Once the catalyst becomes saturated, it is regenerated by flushing it with water from the top of the tower, allowing it to be used again.
