The current purity of the carbon dioxide gas is between 50% and 70%; the remaining components are air that has leaked in. The flow rate is around 28,000 m3/h, and the temperature ranges from 40°C to 50°C. This gas wants to be reused, but its purity needs to be increased to over 85%. Is there any effective method that allows for 24/7 processing, with only 1/3 of the gas volume needing to be treated? I would appreciate it if experts could suggest suitable processes. Thank you!

Several methods are provided for reference; they have not been calculated, nor is knowledge of the usual practices in this industry available, so they may not be economically viable. 1. Condensation: Pass the mixed gas through a heat exchanger to condense carbon dioxide using low temperatures, with air being released without condensation. 2. Pressure swing adsorption: Select an appropriate adsorbent to absorb carbon dioxide and then release it later. 3. Low-temperature methanol washing: This method can be used to remove carbon dioxide and subsequently release it. 4. Sodium bicarbonate washing – release
PSA decarburization at this concentration is the most suitable method
If it is merely about separating carbon dioxide from air, compression and cooling may be the simplest method; carbon dioxide liquefies while air remains a non-condensable gas.
