I have a question: The GB50779-2022 Code for Blast Resistance Design of Petrochemical Buildings sets out the requirements for blast resistance design of such buildings. My question is: After this code was issued, does it mean that all buildings need to be designed with blast resistance in mind? If not, which buildings require blast resistance design (and which codes specify this requirement?) ) Thank you!
GB500779 changed the focus from blast resistance of control rooms to that of buildings, thereby expanding the scope of blast resistance requirements for buildings； The regulations specify that which buildings require blast resistance is determined based on the \"results of explosion risk assessment.\" Whether to install blast protection needs to be determined through calculations based on the building’s function, the size of the equipment, the distance, and other factors.
