What type is used for the constant-force spring bracket?
It depends on the specific degree of settlement. The approach I’ve seen is to have the supports for the inlet and outlet pipes at the bottom of the storage tank be anchored to the foundation; as the foundation settles, the supports settle along with it, resulting in no relative movement between the pipe ends and the supports. As for the question about springs asked by the original poster, I have not seen such a design in front of storage tanks, but personally I think it is feasible. If the displacement is large, such as over 100 mm, a constant-force option can be chosen.
