The image shows that this facility is the last chemical processing unit to be built at Gulei Petrochemical. It utilizes technology imported from the United States, with a designed production capacity of 300,000 tons per year; it is one of the production lines in China with the highest capacity using the tubular process. The device uses ethylene as its main raw material for production, and its products can be used to manufacture functional coatings, inner layers for food packaging, special films for photovoltaic applications, as well as high-end dashboards for airplanes and cars, offering good market prospects. The civil construction of the facility began in March 2019, and the intermediate handover was successfully completed in October 2022; the progress of construction has received close attention from the shareholders of both the landowner and the platform operator. With the guidance and assistance of specialized departments such as the Engineering Department and the Chemicals Division of the group company, the project management department of Gulei Petrochemical, the general contractor, and the construction units reversed the project schedule, optimized the overall planning for the construction work. While ensuring safety, they made every effort to accelerate the project progress, overcame a series of challenges including the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, delays in the design process, and late deliveries of equipment, and successfully completed the installation of key equipment such as the primary/secondary compressors, intercoolers, and reactors. The image of the EVA plant represents an important driver of economic growth for Gulei Petrochemical Company. Once this facility comes online, key units such as those for ethylene production will be able to operate at full capacity, resulting in a significant improvement in all major technical and economic indicators, economic benefits, and the overall competitiveness of the enterprise.
