The following refers to pipes made of 316L material and equipment made of 2205 material; the problems mentioned occurred a few days ago. It’s not clear whether they were caused by corrosion or by stress-induced damage Seek guidance from experienced individuals!
What is this device? Are there cracks in the pipe? What is the thinning amount?

Since there aren’t many different angles of the photos... it’s hard to tell. There seem to be cracks inside the pipeline, but it looks like it’s a bent pipe. If it really is a bent pipe, then erosion would be the more likely explanation logistically. But as for cracks... it would be strange if it were SCC (since bent pipes are formed as one piece; unless the pipe was welded together using insufficient material). ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As a supplementary point, if we’re going to discuss corrosion, please specify the metal type, fluid temperature, and fluid concentration... otherwise, it’s really difficult to make any guesses
The dot above is likely pitting corrosion; cracks, on the other hand, are probably not caused by corrosion.
Where chloride ions are present in high concentrations, 316L also struggles to perform well. Specifically, look at the medium components.
