Silver catalysts are the only industrial catalysts used for the direct oxidation of ethylene to produce ethylene oxide, and they constitute the key element of this process. Focusing on the green, low-carbon, and high-quality development of China’s EO/EG (ethylene oxide/ethylene glycol) industry, Beihua Institute has introduced more than a dozen grades of silver catalysts in four different categories to the market. To ensure the efficient and stable production of silver catalysts, the research team from Beijing Institute of Chemical Technology provided comprehensive technical support for the construction and commissioning of the silver catalyst production line at the company’s new materials production facility in Tianjin, thereby enabling the simultaneous expansion and upgrading of this production line.
