The Pingtan Shared Energy Storage Power Station, Fujian Province’s first large-scale centralized shared energy storage facility, has achieved full power supply across the entire station. The total capacity of the Pingtan shared energy storage power station is 240 megawatts/480 megawatt-hours, with lithium iron phosphate batteries being used for energy storage. The first phase of the project has a capacity of 120 megawatts/240 megawatt-hours, allowing it to store over 200,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity; the annual power generation capacity is expected to be around 153 million kilowatt-hours. The project is a key project in Fujian Province, as well as a **pilot demonstration project for new energy storage. During the project construction phase, Fujian Company’s power transmission and distribution construction team worked tirelessly, seizing every second and every minute; through scientific organization and careful planning, they overcame various challenges such as the lack of water, electricity, networks, and roads at the beginning of the project, as well as the difficulties in coordinating compensation matters with local residents and the large number of design changes, ensuring that the project progressed smoothly. Especially under challenging conditions and tight deadlines, the project team worked together tirelessly, staying on site during the Spring Festival and National Day holidays, working day and night at the key construction sites to ensure progress and quality, thus providing an important guarantee for the power plant to be connected to the grid on time. Once operational, this project will provide the necessary energy storage for the development of the offshore wind power industry in Pingtan, helping to transform Pingtan from an \"island powered entirely by renewable energy\" into an \"offshore energy island.\" It will also contribute to the development of a new type of power system in Fujian as well as the creation of a \"zero-carbon island.\" It is understood that shared energy storage stations represent an important component of the \"source-grid-load-storage\" system; they function like giant shared \"power banks\" that can adjust the charging power according to the load on the power grid, thereby significantly improving the efficiency of energy storage resources and providing stable power supply for related enterprises.
