On January 8, 2025, Hu Yang, General Manager of the Yangtze River Delta region for Zhongneng Xinhé (Beijing) Energy Technology Co., Ltd., and his team visited Suzhou in Anhui to conduct in-depth discussions and negotiations regarding the multi-energy complementary CO2 storage system project. Meng Bin, a member of the Party Leadership Group and deputy director of the Suzhou City Science and Technology Bureau, presided over the discussion, with staff from relevant departments in attendance. At the meeting, the project leader of Zhongneng Xinhé provided a detailed overview of the company’s basic situation, its technical advantages in the field of energy storage through multi-energy complementary CO2 storage, the project plan, and the expected goals. Meng Bin extended a warm welcome to the visit of CNEN Xinhé, and expressed great interest and positive approval for the multi-energy complementary CO2 energy storage system project. In line with the project requirements, the current development and application prospects of the industry in Suzhou were analyzed. On-site contacts were made with the Suma Industrial Park, and a preliminary consensus was reached regarding project cooperation. Zhongneng Xinhé stated that it will make full use of its advantages in terms of technology, talent, and funding to actively promote the implementation of multi-energy complementary CO2 storage system projects in Suzhou, thereby contributing to the city’s energy transition and economic development. This discussion has laid a solid foundation for the implementation of the China Energy Xinhe multi-energy complementary CO2 energy storage system project in Suzhou, while also injecting new momentum into the innovative development of the energy sector there. The Science and Technology Bureau of Suzhou City will strengthen communication and cooperation to ensure that the projects are implemented as soon as possible, thereby contributing to the early achievement of the \"dual carbon\" goals.
