5 patents from Sinopec won awards at the 25th China Patent Awards

Recently, the **Intellectual Property Office issued a decision regarding the awarding of the 25th China Patent Awards. Sinopec won 5 patents, including 1 gold award, 1 silver award, and 3 excellence awards. Among them, Sinopec Corporation and the Dalian (Fushun) Research Institute of Petroleum and Chemical Engineering won the gold award for their \"Method for Preparing a High-Strength Flue Gas Denitration Catalyst\" ； Sinopec Corporation and the Beijing Research Institute of Chemical Technology won the silver award for their \"Method of Using Oil Absorption and Separation for the Treatment of Catalytic Dry Gas in Refineries\" ； Sinopec Machinery Jiangzhuan Company, and Sinopec Machinery’s “A three-stage cutting insert toothed roller bit” won the Excellence Award; Sinopec Corporation and the China Petroleum Research Institute’s “A naphtha reforming catalyst and its preparation method” also received this award; furthermore, Sinopec Corporation and the Engineering Construction Company’s “A fluidized bed reactor for gasoline desulfurization” was honored with an Excellence Award as well. Over the past year or so, Sinopec has vigorously carried out a project to improve the quality of its patents, continuously strengthening the high-quality creation and high-standard protection of intellectual property as well as promoting its efficient utilization, achieving remarkable results. At the 49th Geneva International Invention Exhibition, the company won 3 gold awards and 1 silver award; 5 of its technologies were selected as outstanding examples in China’s artificial intelligence applications in the oil and gas sector for 2024. 12 of its products were recognized as patent-intensive products. The company received 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 1 third prize, and 4 excellence awards in the Central State-Owned Enterprises Innovation Competition. The Catalyst Company and Dezhou Continental Shelf Co., Ltd. were included in the eighth batch of national manufacturing industry champions. 5 of its technical devices were listed in the fourth batch of major technical devices in the energy sector. 2 of its projects were included in the initial list of projects for the expansion of scientific and technological achievements by central state-owned enterprises, while 3 of its achievements were included in the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission’s “Manual of Scientific and Technological Innovation Achievements of Central State-Owned Enterprises (2023 Edition)”.
