Patent abstract: The present invention provides a method and system for using carbon dioxide as padding gas in underground salt caverns for gas/hydrogen storage. This method first obtains wellbore parameters and cavity parameters, and then uses a data analysis platform to calculate the physical properties of carbon dioxide at different temperatures and pressures ； A physical simulation model of the gas/hydrogen storage facility is established based on wellbore parameters and cavity parameters; the physical model is solved using these material properties and the specified boundary conditions, in order to determine the effective temperature and pressure values within the salt cavity ； Calculation model for dynamic gas/injection rates in gas/hydrogen storage facilities, based on salt cavern temperature and pressure data as well as the physical properties of natural gas/hydrogen ； By setting different boundary conditions to simulate the degree of gas mixing in the cushion gas, the injection/production boundary conditions that meet the requirements are selected as the target injection/production parameters. This solution enables accurate modeling of the operating conditions of carbon dioxide-based gas storage/hydrogen storage facilities as cushion gases, allows for real-time calculation of reliable dynamic gas injection and extraction rates, and optimizes the injection and extraction rates based on the degree of gas mixing, thereby providing support for the operations at such storage facilities.
