Dear experts: As shown in the image, is it in line with regulatory requirements to use carbon steel bolts for stainless steel flanges? What standards and regulations have explicit requirements for this situation?
It might be chromium-molybdenum steel; it’s not necessarily carbon steel. Using carbon steel outdoors with stainless steel isn’t really appropriate. The specifications only specify the matching dimensions; as for the material, it still depends on the operating conditions and environment.
Bolts provide strength; they do not come into contact with the material, but in highly corrosive environments, coating protection is necessary
