Recently, at the request of the Shanxi Institute of Coal Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Shanxi Chemical Industry Society organized experts to conduct a 72-hour on-site assessment at the project site of Henan Zhongtuolihe Chemical Co., Ltd., for the project undertaken by that institute as part of the Chinese Academy of Sciences’ Class A pilot project titled “Advanced Utilization Technologies and Industrial Demonstration for Ferto Oil Products” – specifically, the “Industrial Demonstration for the Separation of Tens of Thousands of Tons of Long-Chain α-Olefins”. From the 1st to the 4th, the expert group first reviewed the project documents at the kick-off meeting, listened to the assessment plan, and provided professional suggestions ； Subsequently, the expert team went to the production site to inspect the operation of the equipment in person, verify the production and analysis data, and ask detailed questions about the operational details to ensure that the assessment data were accurate, precise, and reliable. Using light oil rich in alpha-olefins produced by the Fischer-Tropsch synthesis as raw material, this project successfully separated 1-hexene with a purity of over 99% through processes such as distillation and extraction. Through simulation calculations, laboratory tests, and process optimization, the R&D team identified a suitable separation route, thereby developing a complete process for converting FTO light oil into high-purity 1-hexene. Among them, distillation, as the core separation technology, has been demonstrated in plants with a capacity of tens of thousands of tons, and has passed this assessment ； The remaining separation units have also been successfully verified in 100-ton and ton-scale experiments.
