The following is a description of the main components and working principle of this moving bed reactor system: • Reaction process (main reactor): • The core of the system is a vertical moving bed reactor. The interior of the reactor is filled with solid catalyst particles, forming a moving bed that moves slowly downward. • The reactant fluid is pumped and preheated through a shell-and-tube heat exchanger, before entering from the bottom of the reactor via a distributor. • The fluid flows upward through the bed layer, coming into counter-current contact with the catalyst particles that move downward, where a chemical reaction takes place. The product fluid generated by the reaction is discharged from the product outlet at the top of the reactor. • Catalyst circulation and regeneration system: • To maintain the activity of the catalyst and enable continuous operation, the system includes a catalyst circulation and regeneration loop. • The catalyst whose activity decreases during the reaction process is discharged from the bottom of the reactor through the discharge valve and enters the lift pipe. • The lift gas is introduced from the bottom of the lift column, carrying the untreated catalyst particles upward to the regenerator located at the upper part of the system. • In the regenerator, the catalyst is restored to its activity by introducing media such as air (indicated in the diagram as \"air entering\" and \"chlorine gas exiting\"; usually, air is introduced for calcination regeneration while flue gas is expelled). • The regenerated catalyst flows into the feed hopper/lockhopper, and then is added back to the top of the moving bed reactor, completing the cycle.
