As a key project aimed at breaking foreign technological monopolies and overcoming critical bottlenecks, the success of this test run represents not only another successful milestone in the cooperation between the research institute and Pu Jieneng Chemical Company, but also a landmark achievement in China’s efforts to achieve independent innovation in high-end chemical materials. This achievement marks a significant breakthrough for our country in the field of high-end polyolefin materials, taking a solid step forward toward achieving self-sufficiency and control over new chemical materials. This project is being developed for pilot-scale technology testing by the Shaanxi Coal Research Institute in collaboration with Pu Jienenghua; it represents another typical example of the two parties deepening their internal cooperation and promoting integration between industry and research. This project falls under the category of technologies for the development of downstream applications of ethylene; it involves using ethylene as a raw material to produce polyethylene waxes with high added value. These products feature a narrow molecular weight distribution, high purity, good chemical stability, and controllable properties. The successful implementation of this project is of great significance for the group’s coal-based olefin industry in terms of extending and strengthening its value chain, increasing the added value of ethylene products, and enhancing its own intellectual property rights. At present, the project has successfully entered the critical phase of continuous testing.
