The core processes include: 1) C5 fraction separation, using techniques such as precision distillation and extractive distillation to separate key monomers such as isoprene, mesoprene, and cyclopentadiene/dicyclopentadiene ； 2) Downstream processing: Isoprene is used to synthesize isoprene rubber (IR), SIS thermoplastic elastomers, and fragrances ； Isopentadiene is used to produce petroleum resins (C5 resins) ； Dicyclopentadiene (DCPD) is used to produce unsaturated polyester resins, DCPD-hydrogenated petroleum resins, and ethylenedicyclohexylbenzene (ENB, the third monomer for EPDM).
