This achievement sets new world records for both the production capacity per furnace and the energy consumption per unit of product. Six guests from home and abroad, including Wang Xiaofeng, President of the China Inorganic Salt Industry Association; Shandong Haihua Group Co., Ltd.; Mitsubishi Corporation (China) Trading Co., Ltd.; Evonik Industries China Co., Ltd.; Dallas (Qingdao) Special Adsorbents Co., Ltd.; and Zibo Yifeng Water Glass Co., Ltd., together with Yu Haoran, President of the Silicides Branch of the China Inorganic Salt Industry Association and General Manager of Laizhou Fuli Sodabic Soda Company, lit the torch symbolizing hope and the future for the enterprise. Over 100 people, including representatives from domestic and foreign clients, guests from various sectors of society, officials from relevant departments, and representatives of the project contractors, were present to witness the lighting ceremony. According to Yu Haoran, Laizhou Welfare Sodium Silicate is the largest producer of sodium silicate in Asia. The successful ignition of the four-line furnace represents a key achievement of the company’s proactive response to the safety production and emission reduction policies set by governments at all levels – national, provincial, municipal, and county levels. It lays a solid foundation for the company to build a \"green, circular economy factory\" and a \"zero-carbon factory\" in line with the strategic goals related to carbon reduction. This four-line furnace has an area of 218 square meters and is currently the largest regenerative horse-shoe flame furnace of its kind in the world. It incorporates a number of advanced technologies that are leading in China, offering advantages such as stable production capacity, high product purity, and energy efficiency. The total investment in the project is 115 million yuan, with a designed energy consumption of 900 kcal/kg, which is at the international leading level. Once the project is put into operation, the annual production capacity per line will be 230,000 tons, bringing the company’s total production capacity above 1 million tons per year. This capacity is sufficient to meet the requirements of foreign customers, especially those in Europe, regarding the development of a low-carbon and recyclable economy. These products can be widely used in various industries such as coatings, silicone, silica sols, silica gel, papermaking, aerospace, and military manufacturing. They will further enhance the market’s supply capacity, improve the integration of upstream and downstream industrial chains, and contribute to the high-quality development of the local economy. As a result, the demolition and reconstruction of the original kiln production lines, the removal and overhaul of the old equipment, as well as the procurement, installation, and commissioning of new equipment, were all carried out in an orderly manner, along with the fabrication and installation of various supporting equipment and facilities. A total of 33 sets of large-scale equipment were installed, more than 800 meters of pipes for water, gas, air, and fuel were modified and installed, and over 1,000 meters of various cables were laid. Through this technical upgrade, the production line will achieve a qualitative leap in terms of safety and energy efficiency, automated control, and environmental protection standards, providing a solid foundation for the sustainable and high-quality development of the enterprise. Yu Haoran said that in the new year, the company will build on its production lines for high-purity and ultra-high-purity quartz sand, and with the addition of two new production lines as well as another line to be put into operation later, it will produce ultra-high-purity sodium silicate that can lead the global industry, thereby meeting the rapid demands of China’s electronics chip industry and breaking the monopoly held by foreign companies in this field. Zhou Fahai, vice president of the China Inorganic Salt Industry Association and honorary president of the Inorganic Silicides Branch, said in his speech at the ignition ceremony that Laizhou Fuli Sodium Silicate Company is a leading enterprise in China’s sodium silicate industry, and has always been an important force driving the high-quality development of the country’s inorganic silicides industry. The commissioning of this project with an annual production capacity of 230,000 tons of sodium silicate represents not only a crucial step forward in terms of the technology used in horse-shoe furnace systems and the improvement of the company’s own production capabilities, but it is also a practical example of China’s sodium silicate industry working to optimize its industrial structure and enhance its core competitiveness. Its completion and commissioning will provide strong support for meeting market demands, driving industry progress, and achieving green development, carrying great significance and far-reaching impacts.
