On May 5, **information from the Intellectual Property Office shows that a patent titled “An Alternative Refrigerant to R134a, Its Preparation Method, and Applications” was published by Hubei Ruineng Huahui Energy Management Co., Ltd. and Xi’an Jiaotong University. The application number is CN121975493A, with the application date being January 2026. The patent abstract states that this invention falls within the field of refrigerant technology, and specifically relates to a substitute refrigerant for R134a, its preparation method, and its applications. Alternative refrigerants for R134a include the following components in parts by weight: 1–5 parts of fluoroethane, 5–15 parts of 1,1-difluoroethane, and 80–94 parts of hexafluoropropylene.
