Heating pipeline in chemical plant

That’s a good question; indeed, proper attention must be paid to the heating pipelines in northern chemical plants during winter. From my experience, ordinary carbon steel heat tracing tubes come with an anti-rust coating already applied at the factory; little additional painting is needed before or after installation, as the tubes are designed for heat transfer purposes. Painting might actually affect the efficiency of heat exchange, and ordinary paints tend to peel off at high temperatures. However, if the pipeline is in an environment with high humidity and corrosive gas-liquid substances, or if the design requires a long rust prevention lifespan, then it is indeed necessary to apply special high-temperature resistant anti-corrosion paint. It depends specifically on your process medium and the material of the heating tubes used; it is recommended to consult the design team or refer to relevant HG/T standards for greater certainty.
