Heating is achieved by introducing steam into the jacket section of the equipment. How should the size of the jacket be determined? Are there any requirements regarding flow rate or residence time, or are there corresponding standards?
Same question: I’ve already made the jackets for two devices, but I still don’t know how to determine the dimensions
It seems that the flow rate of the heating/cooling medium in the jacket should be determined based on heat balance calculations, while the size of the jacket is determined according to the designed heat exchange residence time and standard jacket specifications used in industry for equipment manufacturing. I hope fellow sailors can clarify this.
Is there no one in the HaiChuan community who has studied this? I asked an old engineer from my company, and he said there’s nothing special to it.
I’m not sure if there are any standards for equipment jackets that can be referred to; and where do the commonly used jacket specifications in the equipment manufacturing industry come from? I know there is a “sleeve design specification”......
Can we apply the corresponding jacket size for the reactor tank with a jacket?
The principle should be to meet the process requirements.
