What causes scaling on control valves?
May I ask what type of control valve the original poster is using? Medium? Pressure? Temperature?
The clogging of the valve core is mainly related to the medium being controlled; of course, it is also somewhat related to the material used. Here, flushing it with the appropriate liquid will suffice
Is it a bellows structure? Generally speaking, scaling is caused by process-related factors; if it’s due to crystallization or physical reasons, heating can be applied… If it’s caused by impurities, a filter should be used… I can’t think of any other possibilities. If the material chosen is incorrect, then it’s not scaling but rather corrosion leading to internal leakage……
Self-polymer or scaling? The self-polymer in the pipes can also be removed by specialized companies that clean pipes; it’s very difficult to remove it from control valves.
