Field vortex flow meters, or speed measurement devices, both output voltage-frequency signals. How far can these signals generally be transmitted?
Use twisted pair, or even dedicated cables. If the interference is low, several kilometers is possible
Generally speaking, the absolute transmission distance can be guaranteed, but the signal-to-noise ratio cannot be generalized; therefore, the effective transmission distance varies. Different signal frequencies (wavelengths) require different electromagnetic shielding methods, and incorrect grounding of the shielding wires directly affects the quality and range of signal transmission. It is recommended to refer to certain parts of Section 6 of the IEEE Standard 1050 for analysis.
