Some flow meters are called self-draining mass flow meters; what does this self-draining refer to?
We haven’t used this either; we hope to find out
To prevent residual dirt, the installation method is used to address this issue
Do you mean to empty the residues in the flow by itself when there is no flow in the pipeline?
It seems to be an Emerson product that improves measurement accuracy and raises the requirements regarding installation; it also allows for integration into SIS circuits in a legitimate manner (many flowmeters do not have SIL safety certifications, which is why flow interlock circuits usually use orifice plates along with differential pressure transmitters)
The flow meter does not have a self-emptying function; it is the installation method that determines whether it can be emptied.
