What type of level gauge is used for floating roof storage tanks?

On my end, it’s a floating-type system that requires the addition of a guide tube; otherwise, nothing can be measured accurately, and the radar works even less well
Floating roof tanks generally use steel belts; the cost is around a few thousand yuan per unit. Radar, servo, fiber optic, and guided wave radar systems may not be able to perform measurements, and those models that include guided wave tubes are even more expensive.
Our floating roof tanks are equipped with radar level gauges specifically designed for waveguides; they are from Rosemount and are very accurate
Blowout type level gauges and guided wave radar level gauges; for tanks at atmospheric pressure, a single-flange level gauge can be used
To put it this way, the price of steel strips and that of guided wave radars differs by several times. Let me tell you again: designing a waveguide for a floating roof tank is a foolish approach; it’s not a matter of accuracy or otherwise.
