First, your Hart handheld device must support the FF protocol.
Migration essentially involves changing the range – recalculating it to an appropriate value. However, the operation with FF is more complex compared to HART. The handheld device used must have FF functionality; of course, such devices are quite expensive, and those used in field applications usually lack this feature. It’s also necessary to know what range should be set. The interface you see isn’t exactly like the one in the image – there’s a wizard available for making these adjustments. Additionally, attention must be paid to the instrument’s operating mode: OSS or AUTO. If you don’t have a handheld device with FF functionality, the system you’re using should still allow for range changes, but it will require the instrument’s DD file
