As the title suggests, the container in question is a feed cone for a vertical kiln; it has a conical shape and operates at high temperatures, around 400–600 degrees. It’s not possible to make holes in it, so measurements must be taken on its outer surface. Which type of radiation-based level gauge would be suitable? Some experienced colleagues mentioned that such gauges have been used in cement plants – but which specific type? I’d appreciate any recommendations; I don’t have much knowledge in this area
Cobalt 60 and cesium 137 are commonly used as sources; Bertoe’s products are of better quality. You can consult them to determine the appropriate dosage of source based on the size of your equipment and the materials being processed. At such high temperatures, cooling is also necessary

Domestic or imported? What is the actual performance like, and is a license required? Should the protective measures be provided by the manufacturer or handled by the user themselves?
Imported from Germany; all radiation sources must be registered. It is fine to install the radiation sources outside the equipment as long as a safe distance is maintained. They come with lead seals, and the radiation sources must be turned off when the equipment is used.
We use all domestically produced products; they are available in Shanghai and Beijing. In short, everything needs to be registered. It’s unnecessary; special handling is still required
