Do the back-blow level gauge and the air-puff type level gauge operate on the same principle, or is it just a different name for them? Please enlighten me, experts
Blowing must be in a reverse direction, but reverse blowing does not necessarily involve air; for example, nitrogen or steam can be used.
Backwashing is not used very often, unless the medium has high viscosity, tends to crystallize, is corrosive, or is particularly dirty – in such cases it may have been in contact with phthalic anhydride, maleic anhydride, sulfuric acid, or other substances used for backwashing to measure liquid levels.
In other words, it’s easy to get clogged; it can be used in situations involving crystallization, strong corrosion, or high temperatures. It was used quite early and extensively in catalytic devices. The backflow gas is required to not react with the medium, to pose no risks to the system, to have a stable gas supply, and to be inexpensive.
It’s actually just one thing; the reverse blowing simply involves introducing air through an additional path that hasn’t been depressurized, and this is done to clean the pipelines
