I can never tell the difference between pressure transmitters and temperature transmitters. How can I quickly distinguish between them by their appearance?

These two differences are quite obvious: there is a connection fitting, and it is the pressure transmitter that is connected to the pressure vessel; the temperature transmitter, on the other hand, does not have any threaded connection fittings, only wiring terminals

Don’t thermometers come without connection fittings and threaded connections?
The connected terminal is a primary sensing element such as a thermocouple or a thermal resistor

Instrument valves are generally installed at the inlet side (bottom end) of pressure transmitters, but not on temperature transmitters. Pressure and temperature variations can be achieved through threaded or flanged connections. There is a straight section of pipe between the temperature-variable transmitter (display unit) and the sensor. There is no voltage transformer. Under relative temperature variation, the shape becomes shorter under pressure variation while it remains somewhat taller under temperature variation.
It’s really hard to tell them apart. Furthermore, this pressure transmitter is installed too high; its display cannot be seen from the platform, which makes inspection and maintenance difficult. In such cases, operators and instrumentation specialists have to use a ladder to climb up in order to carry out inspections and repairs, which shows that this unit is designed with convenience as its primary consideration.
