Could someone help check whether PE pipes can be used for the buried pipes in the oil depot surveillance system? Which standard should I refer to? Thank you
In HG20152, 8.4.2 states that protective pipes should preferably be installed in an overhead manner. When overhead installation is difficult, burial installation can be used; however, the diameter of the protective pipe should be increased, and the buried portion must be treated to prevent corrosion. The material is not specified here. Check the technical requirements for the acceptance of safety monitoring and early warning systems in areas with flammable and explosive materials to see if it’s mentioned there
There’s no need to talk about any rules; it’s obvious just by using common sense that it can’t be done.
If the specifications do not specify the material, I think PE pipes can be used. Aren’t many buried water pipes made of PE or something similar to PE? For reference only, ya.
