I would like to ask if anyone has used integrated temperature transmitters without an external protective sleeve (thermowell) during the design or application process? If you have encountered this, please describe the circumstances in which the temperature protection sleeve was not used Thank you, please rate your reply!
No high temperature or pressure, no high-flow scouring, no solids, no corrosion.
That hardly exists in industrial environments, so there’s no problem with measuring temperatures in cabinet rooms!
In cases where the temperature sensing element is installed separately from the temperature transmitter, I have used that approach; in such cases, the integrated temperature transmitter is installed on the dashboard.
What I’m referring to is not what you think; it’s an integrated temperature change mechanism, with the temperature sensing element not having an external protective sleeve

I agree quite with the reply from the second floor: when the test point is not exposed to high temperatures or pressures, there is no high-flow erosion, no solids present, and no corrosion; and when the medium is non-toxic, non-flammable, and does not pollute the environment, a protective tube is not necessary.
Does the term \"protection tube\" refer to the stainless steel protection sleeve that comes with the thermometer, or to a separate temperature sleeve made of the same material as the pipe?

In industry, they are basically equipped with protective sleeves, and integrated temperature sensors are rarely used. If it is used to measure the temperature of lubricants or similar, a protective sleeve may not be necessary.
It doesn’t matter; it’s not worth much anyway
