Can the 232 port of Siemens’ touch screen with a 232 serial port be used to communicate with a PC or laptop via a USB or MPI PC adapter?

If a touchscreen is used with the MPI port, there should be no problem. But I’m wondering whether it’s possible to use the 232 port that becomes available on the touchscreen without having to disconnect the MPI port cables. For example, ports like IF1A or IF2 on the MP370 touchscreen – if communication is possible, how should it be set up? I earnestly ask the experts to kindly provide answers
