What is the difference between FM148A and FM148C? Can they be used interchangeably?
According to the manual, they can completely replace each other. Moreover, their terminal bases are all FM131A. However, you still need to modify the hardware configuration for this.
1 The FM148C module is compatible with the FM145, FM148, and FM148A modules. This is a sentence from the manual
FM148A: It can accept voltage signals ranging from 1 to 5V, as well as current signals ranging from 4 to 20mA. FM148C: It is an upgraded version of FM148A and can only accept current signals ranging from 4 to 20mA. If all the signals on a card are 4–20mA current signals, the FM148A and FM148C can be used interchangeably; however, if the FM148A in use at the site contains voltage signals (0–5V voltage signals), then the two cannot be substituted for each other.
